I used to watch the expansive world in a little window frame.
There are grey balconies and clamor from cars all day long outside the window.
A several miles away from my home, there was a paradise called Tai Tak.
The departure and arrival over there, carried my every hope.
I had no idea on some of the chess games under the banyan.
The Oriental White-Eye inside the cage would like to fly away.
Many memories are left in Red River Village. I don't want all those memories leaving so fast.
However, since the seasons change so frequently, actually not many people can remember.
I rushed from Tai Po to Tai Mei Tuk by bicycle.
Even when I took the bus or train, it's fine because the distance was pretty far.
Each inch of the coastal highway was going toward the town centre.
Distance, sometimes makes me more yearn for.
My heart was beating faster and faster in every 7:00am on the way to school.
I would be able to peek at you, the one who sit at the window side, in the classroom with sunlight.
We dated each other at the Court No.7 in Tsz Wan Shan for a meeting in the waterfront of Tsim Sha Tsui.
And we also promised each other that we are going to hug each other again in the next ten-year.
Are you, the one who sat at the window side, still happy today?
Is there anyone willing to achieve the promise for you in the reality?
Either be obedient for approaching the peak someday,
Or burn the wonderful youth without concerning for the harvests.
But no matter which way we'd chosen, there are both surprises and sorrows.
We are then more or less experienced under every smiley face.
The old journey is not yet finished and now a new journey is going to begin.
I see the brilliance of this island from the cabin above.
I am flying to the remotest corners of the earth with my every memory in Red River Village.
I'm glad that you didn't fall in love with me.
Every hope in Red River Village is drifting on every corner in the globe, and that's that.
I'm glad that the love between us is not romance.
